Personality:

Luna is first and foremost, a serious individual. As the advisor to the princess, it is her job to make sure that Usagi has every tool that she can possibly need to take on the role of Queen someday. It didn't help that growing up that her charge had the tendency to sometimes skip out on her duties or be lazy. As Usagi has grown as a Senshi and a princess, it means that Luna has done her job well in helping to guide the young girl. Something she is quite proud of. However, whenever possible she will always offer up her help to Usagi or any of the other Senshi should they need it. Even though Luna attempts to fulfill her role of advisor to the best of her abilities, she does also know that sometimes a girl just has to relax a little. Not too much or something important might accidentally slip by - such as Usagi's grades. No matter how old (or how powerful) Usagi gets, Luna will remain steadfast at her side - always willing to give everything to guide the young woman to the best of her abilities. Despite how serious she takes her role, Luna genuinely cares for Usagi and all of the other Senshi to the point where she would risk her life if necessary. She has placed herself in harm's way several times even though her physical body is small and breakable in comparison. Not only does she consider Usagi to be her princess but it can be said that that the girl is also her best friend. They spend a great deal of time together and neither of them feel the need to hold back when something needs said. Luna won't hesitate anyone who's in need of comfort - even sometimes strangers. While her first priority is the princess and the other Senshi, she does genuinely care for humanity as a whole as well. Though this kindness is not something that Luna lets hold her back when there's an enemy to face down. This is due to Luna's relatively calm nature. She can keep her head in most situations and focus on what needs to be done rather than get swept up in the chaos. Usually Luna's post is at command which leaves her far away from the action and allows her to keep things at a distance. When it comes to dealing with others, Luna is often the voice of reason even when they're completely panicking. She was able to keep her cool during those very first fights when Sailor Moon was first starting out. Even though she has a great sense of calm when it comes to dangerous situations, that doesn't mean that she isn't infallible. When things are looking their worst even she's been known to lose that calm and turn to panic, and not to mention when sudden children from the future show up. No matter how calm she might be most of the time, Luna can also lose her temper on occasion. She has a great deal of patience but it isn't infinite. Most of them time she can reign it in but then there are times when she absolutely can't. Sometimes this results in someone ended up scratched though Luna does try not to outright bite someone in her anger. While her scratching someone doesn't happen too often (unless they call her crescent moon shape symbol a bald spot or step on her), she is not above yelling at the individual. Typically Luna is good at not misdirecting her anger and frustration at someone who doesn't deserve it. As an advisor, of course Luna is rather helpful when it comes to instructing Usagi in using her powers based off what she can remember from her time in the Moon Kingdom. Though her helpfulness extends beyond helping the Senshi or the princess learn how to fight their enemies. She can often be seen helping Usagi keeping on track with her studies or even waking up on time. Then there's the fact that Luna is just plain comforting. Should Usagi be upset, she won't hesitate to let the girl hold her or go fetch her friends if necessary. This helpfulness also extends to listening to the everyday problems of the Senshi and helping in whatever way she can. Due to the physical limitations of her cat form, it may not be as much help that she'd like to give but she does what she can. Of course, Luna is extremely intelligent. Starting out she was the responsible for Usagi's training as Sailor Moon along with Ami, Rei and Makoto. It was only after Minako and Artemis joined them that the two cats took on the responsibility of helping the girls together. Luna tends to read the newspaper on a regular basis and can use a wide variety of technology with relative ease. She will also use her appearance as a cat to collect information as no one tends to look twice at an animal that might be lurking about. Even though her memories had been sealed at the beginning, Luna was still able to pick out the other Senshi with relative ease. Her intelligence has helped the girls locate their enemies and figured out how to defeat them on several occasions. She has also modify a few of their items so that they can keep in touch with each other. Even before gathering the Senshi, Luna was always a little bit mysterious. She didn't tell them everything about herself or their goal right away. Instead she held back until the girls absolutely needed to know that information and even took them all to the moon to see where they'd once lived. While Luna has stopped being so mysterious with those she's close to, she continues it with others outside of their circle. Considering most humans would panic at seeing a talking cat, she tends to act like a regular Earth cat - though she may seem out of place when she's out gathering information. As one of the few who know about the Senshi and their secret identities, this means that she absolutely has to keep the secret. So while she may eventually reveal the fact that she can talk when with outsiders, Luna will always stay quiet on that matter. Even after being with the Senshi for years, the girls still didn't quite know everything about Luna such as the fact that she and Artemis didn't truly come from the moon but from a planet called Mau. As an individual with many precious things to keep secret it's only natural that Luna tends to be cautious. Considering how drawn Usagi can be to others, this means the others have to err on the side of caution even if it means suspecting someone who's actually an ally. Though there are times when she isn't cautious enough and has been caught talking around other people when she shouldn't have been. It may take a while for her to fully trust someone but once that person has earned it, then Luna is as loyal as they come. Never once has she turned away from someone who she trusts no matter what they might do to her. The same can be said of those who have earned her distrust - though it takes a great deal for her to reach that point such as a person destroying a whole kingdom. When one the senshi or others who are close end up controlled or possessed by the enemy, Luna won't hold it against them either. Once she forms a bond with someone, Luna can become quite protective of someone. Protective enough that she would risk her life for them or recklessly throw herself into danger in order to save them. Even though any one of the Senshi and even Tuxedo Mask are stronger than her it wouldn't stop her from trying to protect them from harm. When she can't protect Usagi from emotional pain, it's hard on her and the first time it happened, Artemis had to help her through it. Even though she was already hurt, Luna appeared to attack an enemy. Despite knowing how much power Usagi has, Luna also can't help but worry - especially when the girl goes off to fight even if there's not a lot she can do to help out most of the time. Not that the strength of an enemy would stop Luna from helping if she thought she could actually do something except be a burden. Luna may be a rather serious individual but that she does have a playful side as well. While she doesn't condone slacking off, she is aware that not everything can be work or training or fighting. Sometimes she might even tease or take advantage of others off doing other things to get in a good nap herself. She knows how to take advantage of a warm patch of sunlight or a comfortable lap.

Abilities:

Luna is a cat, that talks. Typically one would look at her and think she was magical but she is actually from another planet. One where they had both feline and human appearances - ones that could speak in a way other than simply meowing. Not to say she can't meow but humans can't understand her words if she doesn't speak. She is also extremely good with electronic devices. Luna has been shown using a computer, even ones designed for human fingers rather than cat paws and often uses the senshi computer base. There have been times when she's made adjustments to watches so that they can be used as communicators as well. Of course, she can do all of the things a cat can do - bite, scratch, meow, and purr. Transformation: Most of the time Luna does look like a fairly normal cat, she walks and moves like a normal cat. However, there are rare occasions when she can transform and she becomes human-like in appearance. In her human form she has black, long wavy hair with four buns on top of her head. She has on a yellow dress with a black underskirt, a yellow ribbon around her neck along with a gold crescent moon necklace. The crescent moon is still present on her forehead and she has an anklet (also with a crescent moon design), and earrings. While in this form she can pretty much do anything a human can. Teleportation: She does have the ability to teleport herself though uses it on very, very rare occasions. Luna teleported herself from the command center in Japan to the Artic. She won't be using this ability much at all and if she does it will take her a while before she can do it again. Extraordinary Senses: Even without her memories, Luna was able to sense the power within the Senshi. She had to be close to them in order to truly tell and sometimes Usagi is better at sensing the other Senshi than she is such as in the case of the Outers.

Alignment: Peromei

From the beginning, Luna has had to have hope. Hope that her life on the moon would be a good one and hope that the princess would one day become the queen she was expected to do. There was despair the day the Moon Kingdom fell and the princess died but hope could bloom again as the princess and others would be reborn on Earth. Luna hoped to reunite the Senshi and that they would save the world over and over again. Whenever despair seems to have sunk in, that's when her hope in Usagi is at its strongest.
